Asparagus Queen

The tradition of the Schwetzingen Asparagus Queen has existed since 2006. Since then there have been 5 asparagus queens: Jennifer I, Tanja I, Katharina I, Janine I and the current Asparagus Queen Anna I. She represents the city as an ambassador for the royal vegetable on special occasions at home and abroad. The special feature is that the royalty are daughters of local asparagus farmers and are therefore very familiar with asparagus cultivation.
