  • The two farms of the Renkert and Spilger families offer freshly cut asparagus in their farm shops during the asparagus season, which is complemented by other agricultural products throughout the year. The Renkert asparagus farm at Allmendsand 3 is a long-established agricultural enterprise that has been cultivating the "royal vegetable" for four generations. The Spilger asparagus farm, which moved to Allmendsand 5 in 1972, has also been in the family for several generations. In addition to the traditional pale asparagus, green asparagus is also grown, which enjoys a growing following with its nutty aroma.

  • The Fackel-Kretz-Keller asparagus farm is the last farm in the historic city centre to be run by the fourth generation of the family. The family passionately cultivates, among other things, the old asparagus variety "Schwetzinger Meisterschuss", which is probably one of the best in the world. The vegetables are cultivated exclusively and deliberately without film as pale asparagus in the open and harvested traditionally by hand.

  • The Schäufele and Schuhmacher families and the Gress organic farm offer asparagus and everything else that can be enjoyed with it, freshly harvested every day in their farm shops. The Schäufele asparagus farm, Im Forst 1, has been growing asparagus as a family business for four generations. At the Spargelhof Schuhmacher, Im Forst 2, several types of grain as well as maize and sugar beet are grown in addition to asparagus. In addition, the Schuhmacher family specialises in dairy cattle farming. The Gress family takes a different approach to farming and asparagus cultivation at their organic farm, Im Forst 3. Since 2000, the entire farm has been managed according to strict Bioland criteria.
