Schwetzingen is located in the Rhine valley and is surrounded by numerous quarry ponds, interesting bird paradises and the natural phenomena of the GEO Nature Park. In addition, excursions to the castle-rich landscapes of the Bergstrasse, the German Wine Route and the Neckar Valley are worthwhile.
