Ladenburg

The Roman town of "Lokudunum" (Seeburg) is known for its listed old town and for its history, which goes back to Celtic times (approx. 3,000 BC). Probably the oldest town in Germany on the right bank of the Rhine, it is also known as the place where Dr. Carl Benz, the inventor of the automobile, worked. He lived in Ladenburg from 1904 until his death. The Benz House and the Dr. Carl Benz Car Museum are among the town's special attractions.
